I passed my semester! I really don't know how I did it, but goddamn if I'm not glad it's over. I have been horribly exhausted. I don't get too long a break because I'm taking summer courses, but I'm gonna take what I can get. Small victories and all. I've been thinking more about Nyx and fun worldbuilding junk, so hopefullyyyyyy....... I'll have some more stuff up on that page soon.
I have so much work to do and I don't wanna do any of it. I'm a chapter and a half behind from when I was sick. I feel like I'm doing okay, but I also feel like I'm not really retaining anything that I'm learning in Windows I and CCNA I. HTML and CSS are going pretty well, mostly because I am having fun with it and applying it to this website. Subnetting, virtual machines, and all that other stuff is just not clicking for me. I have a hard time learning things that aren't immediately applicable to something I'm interested in. I know I need to put in the work and do the exercises and labs, but it's just so hard to get myself to do it when it doesn't feel rewarding in some way. I wish I could just learn by doing fun projects, but I also know that I need to learn the fundamentals before I can really start doing that. It's a frustrating cycle.
I wish I would have gone to school sooner. Being ten years out of academia, I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of foundational knowledge that would make these technical concepts easier to grasp. I really am trying to get my life together sooner than later, and I feel like FINALLY getting started on a career would really jumpstart that.

Right now, I've been obsessed with a series I probably should have been playing a long time ago. Resident Evil. I played RE2, RE3, and am currently playing RE4, but I haven't played the newer ones yet. I'm a weenie and get scared easily, so I have to play it with other people around, hahaha. I'm really enjoying the experience however.
